OCU women nip Wayland Baptist 2-1 in OT

PLAINVIEW, Texas – Oklahoma City University edged Wayland Baptist 2-1 in overtime on Tuesday afternoon.

Caroline Dixon, a freshman from Manchester, England, scored the game-winning goal in the 97th minute in overtime. The Stars picked up their fourth consecutive win in their first Sooner Athletic Conference women's soccer contest of the year.

Dixon launched the ball into the upper far right corner of the goal on her game winner. Dixon led the Stars with 13 shots in the match with three shots on goal.

Sarah Leonard, a junior from West Yorkshire, England, scored the first goal for the Stars during the second half in the 67th minute. 

OCU improved to a 4-3-1 record and will face Texas-Brownsville on Friday at 2 p.m. at Stars Field.
